Constitution Party Becomes a Recognized Party

Pierre, SD - Secretary of State Chris Nelson announced today that the Constitution Party is now a recognized political party in South Dakota. The Republican and Democratic Parties are the other recognized parties in South Dakota. Recognized parties may nominate candidates to participate in primary and general elections. The Constitution Party became recognized by filing a petition signed by 8,364 registered voters asking for official recognition.
