Secretary of State Announces New Information Access System

 

Secretary of State Chris Nelson announced that a new Information Access System  website is now available to the public.  The web address is www.sdsos.gov/ias .  The website allows access to information in the Secretary of State’s office such as campaign finance reports filed by candidates, political parties and political action committees as well as information on lobbyists and notary publics. 

 

This system will allow the public to view money contributed to candidates and political committees, find out who lobbyists work for, and find the notary publics in your city or county.  Additional information will be available on the website in the future.

 

Secretary of State Nelson said, “This website brings our office to you.  I want the public to have easy access to the information kept in the secretary of state’s office and this is one step in that direction.  I look forward to adding new information to this website.”
